Transplant Australia
Transplant Australia is the national community voice for organ and tissue donation. Its mission is to be a strong advocate for best practice in the organ and tissue donation sector, promote its life-saving benefits to governments and the Australian public and to provide all those touched by transplantation with support, education and guidance to improve their health, quality of life and well-being.
The Organ and Tissue Authority
The Organ and Tissue Authority is responsible for leading implementation of the Australian Government’s National Reform Agenda to increase organ and tissue donation for transplantation. The Authority’s national DonateLife community awareness and education program encourages Australians to discover the facts, make and register informed donation decisions and most importantly discuss and know family members’ donation wishes. The Authority is the major sponsor of the Australian Transplant Games.
NSW Health
NSW Health is proud to celebrate the success of organ and tissue donation and transplantation in NSW through the Australian Transplant Games. As a major sponsor, NSW Health is supporting Transplant Australia to showcase the positive outcomes of transplantation through athletes attending the Games. The NSW Minister for Health, Jillian Skinner, a long-time supporter of organ and tissue donation, is committed to helping more patients from NSW access life-saving transplantation through the DonateLife organ and tissue donation network.
