Accommodation Information
A wide range of accommodation is available - to suit all budgets and needs.
Options include single rooms and 2 bedded rooms (bunk) with and (with all meals included) at the AIS, motel style accommodation at the Golden Creek Resort and cabin/bungalow accommodation at the Canberra Motor Village and the Canberra Carotel (some rooms can even accommodate as many as 8 persons to share the cost). There are also powered Caravan sites available at the Canberra Motor Village.
Please do not book rooms direct, as Transplant Australia has over 900 beds reserved for you. The proprietors of the venues have requested that all participants utilise Transplant Australia’s booking system and will not take direct reservations.
All accommodation venues are within close proximity to the AIS and transport will be provided (but only to those who have booked accommodation through Transplant Australia and have not taken up the Petrol Voucher option) to and from accommodation and sporting events.

Accommodation:
A wide variety of styles of accommodation has been sourced, at four different locations:
Australian Institute of Sport - Single and Bunk/Bed Rooms only
A total of 150 Single rooms and 48 x 2 Bedded (Bunk) rooms are available at the Institute Hall of residence.
Cost: $780 PER PERSON for 8 nights - which includes meals as detailed below.
Important Information:
Policies: The Australian Institute of Sport has a strict no alcohol and no smoking policy that applies to accommodation and all other AIS venues.
Meals: The cost of the AIS accommodation automatically includes a daily breakfast at the AIS Restaurant
plus the meals included as part of the Lunch and Dinner Packages. Dinners will be with other TA members in the Arena.
Discription:
Each block of 12 single rooms has a common room with a television and lounge area. Toilet and shower facilities are shared.Washing and ironing facilities are provided at the onsite launderette. Single rooms are serviced weekly. Couples can request single rooms in which case every effort will be made to allocate adjacent rooms. All single rooms contain:
- fridge
- built-in cupboard
- fan
- heater
- sink
- mirror
- single bed
- bed linen and towel.
The family orientated Gold Creek Tourist Resort is located in the heart of Gold Creek Village, set in tranquil, yet magnificent surrounds. Boasting 65 spacious units with a choice of en suite with spa, bath or shower, Gold Creek can cater to your every need.
The Resort features two superb fully catered dining rooms, fully licensed bar, salt water heated swimming pool, fully equipped guest kitchen, laundry, video hire and more. Various combinations of motel style accommodation is available at the Gold Creek Tourist Resort
Cost: $29.00 Per Night - Per bed (Double and Queen bed count for two people x $29 N.B the cost of each room is based on each bed being paid for whether it's occupied or not).
Eg. A room with a queen and a single is calculated as $29 x 3= $87
