The Games are a major awareness raising activity for donation, having a clear impact on donor rates every year the Games are held. This is because of your stories, your journeys and your positive attitude. Your friends, family and colleagues have watched you experience the life altering journey of transplantation and can see exactly what it has done for you and your family. Transplant Australia is again offering the Every Day Hero online fundraising service to help get you to the Games to celebrate your come-back, and to build on the Games impact.
Online Fundraising – Everyday Hero
Following the success of the online fundraising program introduced for the recent World Transplant Games, Transplant Australia has negotiated another agreement so you can once again fund-raise using the Everyday Hero Program http://www.everydayhero.com/. Any donates over $2.00 made through this program are fully tax deductible.
How do I set up my profile?
All you need is a digital photo and a paragraph or two about your transplant, what sports you’ll be competing in at the Games and how transplantation has impacted on your life.
How do I start fundraising?
Simply use the system to send an email to your friends, family and work colleagues letting them know that you’ll be competing in the Games, and you’re looking for their support. It is really easy, there is even a template for you to use. People will be able to simply click onto your page and donate via the internet. They automatically receive a fully tax deducible receipt instantly.
What can I use the funds for?
Remember any of the funds you raise can also be used for you to bring members of your immediate family or partners to the Games. So start fundraising and bring the whole family! 50% of funds raised from everyday hero will be delegated back into to develop members focused initiatives such as Health Workshops.

Everyday Hero & My Games Account
Your Everyday Hero funds will be settled with your games account within six weeks after the Games. Any reimbursements will be made the week beginning November 14, 2010.
