WHAT TO BRING
Sunblock, water bottle, hat.
The event will be governed by the Rules of Pétanque Australia which is affiliated with the Fédération Internationale de Pétanque et Jeu Provençal (http://www.petanque.org/news/rules/official_rules.shtml), except as modified herein.
Format: Competition in men’s and women’s singles and doubles (no gender). Knockout or Round Robin (depending on entries). Points are awarded to the player with the closest boule to the cochonnet. If the winning player has the closest 2 or 3 boules then they get either 2 or 3 points. The player that wins the end gets to start the next end. The team first to 13 points wins the game.
Equipment Provided: Boules and cochonnet (aka coche or jack). Competitors requirement: May bring their own boules (but not plastic).
