Run or walk 5km and show your support for organ and tissue donation.

Everyone is invited to come along and support a life-saving cause by taking part in the DonateLife Family Fun Run.

Whether you plan to walk, run, jog or stroll, everyone is welcome. The important thing is to get involved and show your support and appreciation for transplantation.

There is a 3km Junior Dash for under 17s (Games participants only) and the 5km open run or walk for everyone including the public. You can register as an individual, or as a family, corporate, social, or another charity team.

Held around Penrith Lakes, the DonateLife Fun Run celebrates the ultimate gift – the gift of life, and marks the opening celebration of The Australian Transplant Games.

The whole of health care is being asked to get involved. Teams from every transplant hospital and everyone within the DonateLife network are encouraged to come along and celebrate the advances made in transplantation over the past 40 years.

There will be stalls, activities for the kids and entertainment.

Registration on the day of the event will open at 7.45am and a bag drop area will be available in this area.

The race will start at 10:00am at the rear of grandstand and follow the lake path around the main lake, finishing in front of the grandstand. (See the course photograph below).

There will be two drink stations, one around the 2.5km mark and one at the finish line.

Times/Results will be recorded electronically and made available on the day.

Following the Fun Run (about 11:00am) there will be a presentation to the winners from each category.
